Our education pack has been developed to be used with KS3/4 pupils. This delves into the history of England’s independent record stores that specialised in Black music, from fifties jazz to noughties grime. Themes highlighted include migration, racism and resistance. Written by Sean Dudley, with contributions from KS3 history teacher Nicholas Pawley.
“This resource not only enhances musical and cultural understanding but also sparks important conversations about social history. A must-have for educators seeking to bring diverse and engaging perspectives into the classroom.”
– Nicholas Pawley
