Global Grooves opened in August 1991 in Chester, and was a record shop specialising in house music, becoming the first of its kind in Cheshire. The shop was founded by Ian Wade and Adam Johnson, two young DJs who secured a Princes Trust loan to launch their business. The shop is sadly no longer open.
