Paul Marsh Records was located at 24 Alexandra Road in the Moss Side area of Manchester, and is noted as being a place people could easily get hold of Jamaican 45s, as well as British pop music. The shop was a favourite haunt of Morrissey, the Manchester-native who would go on to front The Smiths. He described it as a ‘little record shop with wooden floorboards exposed, with sawdust on the floor’.
