Peckings record shop opened at 81 Askew Road, Shepherds Bush, in 1973. The original owner was George ‘Peckings’ Price. After his passing in 1994, his sons Chris and Duke set up the Peckings label to build on the legacy established by their father. The shop continues to operate as of 2025, specialising in reggae, R&B, blues, ska and rocksteady.
