Ralph’s was a Northern Soul specialist shop located close to Manchester’s Victoria Station. The shop opened in 1967, with the shop’s owners also establishing a record label trading in bootleg soul 45s. These were often highly popular but hard to locate, which led to Ralph’s pressing and selling them to cater for audience demand.
