Located in the Morgan Arcade in Cardiff, Spillers Records is officially the oldest record shop in the world. It has been selling pre-recorded music since 1894, initially in the form of phonographs, wax cylinder phonographs and shellac phonograph disks, before transitioning to vinyl as this came to the fore. The shop was particularly popular with residents of Tiger Bay, a multi-ethnic community in Cardiff, as it sold jazz, blues and music from the Caribbean and Africa. As of 2024, the shop is run by sisters Ashli and Grace Todd.
