The Diskery is a legendary Birmingham record shop, founded by jazz-lover Morris Hunting and two friends on Moor Street in the city in 1952. The shop quickly grew in popularity, leading to Hunting buying the shop outright. A move to Hurst Street preceded a move to Bromsgrove Street in 1972. Hunting sadly passed away in 2012, but as of 2025, The Diskery is still open and operating on Bromsgrove Street.
